  AFTER spending a very cold and wet day in Trafford watching the Greater Manchester Marathon, I wanted to acknowledge the wonderful community spirit of the landlord and team at the Roebuck in
  Flixton. Not only did they open their doors to cold (sometimes borderline hypothermic) runners, they then took it upon themselves to provide blankets, spare clothing, hot drinks and sandwiches to
  those they were sheltering.
