Vets show the way for youngsters

JUNIOR members of Urmston Judo Club, which is based at the George Carnall Centre, have some great role models in their own senior club members.
Over the years they have won medals in numerous championships as well as representing their country at the top level.
With the Olympic trials imminent the top players at the club are honing their skills as they bid to make the team.
And in the veterans section they added two Commonwealth titles as Kevin Kinney (u90k) and Kevin Lynch (u81k) both picked up gold medals in the Commonwealth trials at Cardiff Millennium Centre.
They were able to show off the medals to the junior section and top Urmston coach Steve Pullen said: “Both Kevins are great role models for our younger members and we were all delighted with the gold medal success – anyone interested in finding out more about the sport and the club can contact me on 0161 881 0355.”
