ALTRINCHAM and Sale Chamber of Commerce members attended a lunch where the topic of conversation was the future of town centres.
Nearly 100 members attended the luncheon at the Mere Court Hotel and listened to the guest speaker Janet Callender, Chief Executive of Trafford Borough Council, discuss how the recent political change will affect the ‘Trafford pound'.
She also spoke of the importance of the public sector in creating the right conditions so that regeneration would occur and a state of confidence could settle in.
CEO of the Altrincham and Sale Chamber, Barbara Hallwood, said the Chamber were always 'looking for opportunities that will benefit the region'.
"As Janet explained, undoubtedly, we are all facing challenging times however by working together we can all benefit.
"The notion that by working together the town centre will strengthen was echoed by many throughout the lunch."
