Residents invited to Sale Town Hall open day

RESIDENTS are invited to visit Sale Town Hall for an open day organised by Trafford’s registrars this Saturday (February 11)between 11am and 3pm.

Activities on the day include joining the Mayor of Trafford Cllr Jane Baugh in the mayor’s parlour where Pat Coulburn, from Sale Civic Society, will be giving talks on the history of the town hall.

People can also get advice about investigating family history from Sale Historical Society, talk to registrars in the marriage ceremony/civil partnership room and visit stalls run by wedding businesses.

There will be a raffle and tombola that will raise money for the mayor’s charities.

Vintage teas will be served next to the art deco council chambers and the Talbot String Quartet will perform in the Gallery Bar at Sale Waterside.
