Former French international and Arsenal and Manchester City star Patrick Vieira helps tots from Busy Bees in Sale, Trafford
8:10am Saturday 28th January 2012

MANCHESTER City bravely opened up their training pitches to an ecstatic bunch of Busy Bees Nursery children and staff from Sale so that they could complete their first ‘Golden Mile’ in style. Former French player Patrick Vieira led the way around the football ground golden mile with a measuring stick in one hand and a child or two in the other. Carole Chadderton, Busy Bees regional director for Greater Manchester, said: “Football is arguably the nation’s number one sport and what better way than to literally ‘kick off’ with a trip to one of the UK’s most famous football grounds and hopefully give the children and staff something really fabulous to remember as they’re completing their first Golden Mile.”
More than 130 Busy Bee nurseries across the UK have signed up to the ‘Golden Mile,’– for each child to complete eight Golden Miles throughout the year.
