Fancy dress event raises animal charity cash
3:30pm Sunday 5th September 2010
FRIENDS Jenny Currie and Sarah Quilliam battled adverse weather conditions to complete their fancy dress 10k dog walk last weekend.
They managed to raise over £700 for the Society of Abandoned Animals in Sale, which needs £50,000 to avoid closure.
The girls suffered from torrential rain followed by boiling sunshine, with one member of their team becoming extra wet after falling into a nearby canal!
Jenny and Sarah would like to thank everyone who has donated, and encourages anyone who hasn’t yet done so to visit their webpage - www.justgiving.com/Jenny-Currie.
